At Suzuran All-Boys High school, students live by the rule of conquer, or be conquered - with all aspiring to conquer the school, a feat that only a handful have come close to accomplishing. Many form their own factions and slowly consolidate power in hopes of achieving what has not yet been achieved. Amongst all this factional warfare to rule the school, one student silently observes from the sidelines: 2nd year Megumi Hayashida or, as he is more commonly known as, Rindaman.
For reasons unknown, Rindaman refuses to align with any gang or get involved in the constant power struggles among Suzuran's various factions. However, rumours of Rindaman's feats are widespread throughout the school. Though they vary of him beating anywhere from 10 to 100 students, with some supposedly dying in hospital, it's agreed by all that Rindaman is incredibly strong, causing most students to stay clear of him.
Ironically, this also makes Rindaman the target of many of the school's potential conquerors. While defeating and seizing other factions is key, defeating Rindaman is seen as the final test to conquering Suzuran.While Rindaman has no interest in the constant conflicts in the school, he won't back down from any challengers either. Holding nothing back, he will swiftly crush any opponent before returning to observe Suzuran's continuing gang wars.
His nickname, Rindaman, comes from the alternate reading of his family name Hayashida (林田) where Hayashi (林) can also be read as Rin.
