Terry Sanders Jr, more commonly known as Sanders, is a soldier, and mobile suit pilot of the Earth Federation Forces. He is currently assigned to the Kojima Battalion's 08th Mobile Suit team under the command of Shiro Amada. Prior to his assignment to the 08th MS Team, he was part of a number of teams, all of which were wiped out after their third mission, and Sanders was always the sole survivor. Unfortunately, word of the fate of Sanders' previous teams spread quickly among Kojima Battalion, and has led to Sanders earning the nickname of "Sanders the Reaper." This exacerbates his struggle with survivor's guilt after losing so many teammates that even Sanders believes that he must be cursed. Fortunately, his teammates in the 08th MS Team refuse to believe in such superstitions, and know that Sanders will pull through when it counts.
Though he struggles with survivor's guilt, Sanders has proven to be a capable Mobile Suit pilot, having previously piloted a GM, before being assigned a RX-79 [G] Gundam Ground Type. He is also loyal to his fellow 08th MS teammates, though he is most loyal to his Team Commander, Shiro Amada, who saved Sanders' life after his previous team was wiped out by Zeon space forces.
