Additional Information

I am a guy who's been going with the flow in life for many years, and it is only in recent years that I think I may have found what I am after. After a few years working as an Assistant Language Teacher of English, I am now working as an office worker for a company in Japan. While I have JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N2 certification (advanced/business level Japanese ability), I want to go all the way to achieve N1 (near-native level Japanese ability).

Back in 1999, I had created an Evangelion fansite, Enter the MAGI, to showcase my interest in the series Neon Genesis Evangelion at that time. While it did see limited success and popularity among friends and acquaintances, it would only be two years later that I would move on to something bigger, before eventually coming full circle and creating another Evangelion fansite 20 years later.

Originally, I intended to use this site as part of a portfolio to showcase for a prospective career in web design. Though that plan went pear-shaped years ago, these days the maintaining of this site (and my others sites) is more of a hobby, which I enjoy, despite not updating the site frequently. Eventually I would like to continue this hobby and work on other web sites to showcase my web design skills (or even develop a new layout for this site) - even if they are terribly outdated in this day and age.

Lastly, the name Toji came from my favourite Evangelion character when I first started getting in to anime - Toji Suzuhara. While I'm not as passionate about Evangelion compared to my much younger self all those years ago, I decided to continue with the name out of nostalgia. That, and the fact that it makes up half of this website's name.
