27/06/2021 - Happy (belated) 20th Birthday Toji's World ~ Toji
First of all, sorry for the delay.
Twenty years. Yes, Toji's World has been around for that long. It is also a reminder that 2001 was a long time ago when I decided to shift from my Evangelion fan site (anybody even remember Enter the MAGI?) on to something bigger, and fumbling for a few years after that before finally getting in to the groove of what I wanted the site to be about. It is also a reminder that I'm getting older too, and I hate that.
I believe there only two types of websites that continue to operate for this long: Those that are hugely successful and provide new material for their visitors on a frequent basis, and those that should have shut down years ago, but stubbornly resist because f*ck everyone else. Guess which one Toji's World falls under?
Now, the 2021 update:
- I had originally planned to shift my entire site over to Neocities, as I have used it as a redirect for some time. Unfortunately, without switching to a paying Supporter account, Neocities' free accounts don't support the .htc file format. Basically, my entire site navigation relies on the .htc file, so the site would be unusable on Neocities. So for now, I'm continuing with the current arrangement of redirecting.
- Five new character profiles added, including Megumi Hayashida from Crows, the RGM-96X Jesta from Gundam Unicorn, the GP02A Gundam Unit 2 "Physalis" from Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, and Beast Wars' Dinobot. I have also updated and rewritten Angela's character profile to reflect the release of the Seiken Densetsu 3 remake - now officially known as Trials of Mana. In addition, the profile for Evangelion Unit 00 makes its return after missing from the site after version 7.0, with updated information.
- A review has been added for a Darth Vader action figure - specifically from the Power of the Force line back in the mid 90s. This is my attempt to branch out in to other things besides reviews for games, films and music. Whether this leads on to more figure/toy reviews in the future is yet to be seen.
- While I'm talking about reviews, I have updated the review for Seiken Densetsu 3, now called Trials of Mana.
- A review for Man with a Mission: Man with a "Best" Mission album has also been added.
- Next, new pictures added to drawn for 2020 and 2021.
- Finally, the links page has been updated, with 5 new links added.
I had one more thing I wanted to include for the updates, but was not able to make it in time for this update. However, expect an update on that before the year is over.
For the very few people that have visited this site over the years, regardless of the numerous occassions of relocating, thank you for coming, and I hope you'll continue visiting this place.
