Additional Information Brother of Gouken and a former student under Gotetsu, Akuma walks the path of ultimate strength, always looking to improve his skills as a martial artist. This path has led him to embracing the Satsui no Hado, a dark energy that grants power at the cost of one's humanity.
Though embracing such dark power, he ironically adheres to a strict warrior's code. Rarely will he use his full strength unless the fight warrants it. He seeks to fight the strongest fighters to become stronger, but will not fight those weak or ill, nor will he kill unless it is in combat. However, he will make exceptions for those he believes misuse their power or take shortcuts to achieve it.
His path to strength has put him at odds against other fighters, one such fighter being Ryu - a student of Gouken. Akuma hopes Ryu will follow the same path as himself so he can have the ultimate battle that he has long been searching for.
