Additional Information Bass.EXE is a NetNavi that wanders the Net in search of power, with no area off limits. An incident in the past left him with a hatred towards all humans and any Navi that willingly partners with humans, believing such NetNavis to be nothing more than slaves. Unfortunately, this leaves him susceptible to individuals looking to use Bass.EXE's power and hatred for their own advantage.
Bass.EXE is unique in that he is an AutoNavi - a fully independent NetNavi that can fight without an operator unlike typical Navis. However, as NetNavis rely on human operators to supply battle chips to effectively combat viruses or other NetNavis, Bass.EXE overcomes this thanks to his Get Ability program. With this, he can absorb the data of deleted viruses and NetNavis to take their abilities. As a result, Bass.EXE has become one of the most dangerous NetNavis, earning him the appropriate moniker as the Net's God of Destruction.
In the anime, Bass.EXE's origins are significantly different in that he was born from the residual data of PharoahMan.EXE. His hatred of humanity is instead inherited from PharoahMan.EXE. Also, rather than being able to absorb abilities of other viruses and NetNavis like his video game counterpart, he absorbs only their power.
