The Gundam Astray No-Name is a Gunpla that has been customised for use in Gunpla Duel (GPD), a predecessor system to the current Gundam Battle Nexus (GBN) Online, in where the actual Gunpla themselves fight, as opposed to the simulated battles of GBN. Built by Tsukasa Shiba, it has been used in over 500 battles in GPD, having been repaired, and improved upon every time Tsukasa lost, giving the No-Name an appearance that is seemingly a hapazard mix of parts, but in reality has been optimised for various types of combat.
In terms of weaponry, the No-Name is equipped with a beam saber that is wielded in the left hand, and is usually stored on its back. Its right arm is equipped with a beam gauntlet, which is also capable of emitting a beam saber. However, it's main weapon is its No-Name Unit, that covers the right side of the No-Name. The main draw of this unit is how versatile it is. When draped over the No-Name, it functions as a shield (D-EXTENSION Mode), which is capable of protecting against even beam attacks. However, it can be reconfigured in to a rifle (B-SMARTGUN Mode) that is used in conjunction with the beam gauntlet to fire a powerful beam blast. For times when the No-Name needs overwhelming physical power, the unit can also be reconfigured in to a large claw that is capable of crushing its enemies. As a last resort, the No-Name Unit can transform in to a mounted backpack to activate its n_i_t_r_o System (X-CONNECT Mode), which analyzes the field and gives feedback to the pilot which simulates a shortened reaction time, a feature originally found in the Delta Kai Gundam from the UC-MSV series.
The Gundam Astray No-Name is a Gunpla created for competing in the harsh world of Gunpla Duel where total destruction of one's Gunpla is a real possibility. As a result, Tsukasa Shiba sees Gunpla Battling as life or death. This is reflected in the Astray No-Name's fighting style, where it will fight enemies with overwhelming power, and defeat them as quickly as possible to minimise damage to itself.
