Additional Information The Masurao is a custom high-speed mobile suit developed by Billy Katagiri after he took over as head of mobile suit development for the ALAWS. Originally planned as the successor to the GNT-704T Ahead, it was redesigned for Mr. Bushido.
As per Mr. Bushido's preferences, the Masurao's armaments are melee focused. It is equipped with two beam sabers that generate katana-shaped blades named Howard and Daryl, in honor of his fallen wingmen. Though the suit is also equipped with head and chest mounted laser guns for missle interception, along with antennae that can generate beam chakrams, Mr. Bushido rarely uses these weapons.
The Masurao's notable feature is its Trans-Am system, something exclusively used by the Gundams until now. Using Professor Eifman's notes on GN Particles, Billy was able apply this research to the Masurao. Trans-Am gives the mobile suit increased power and speed for a limited time by releasing all its stored particles. Hower, the Masurao must quickly retreat from the battlefield after the system's time limit is reached, due to the limited operating time of its GN Drive Taus, unlike the semi-perpetually particle generating GN drives of the Gundams.
The Masurao was developed under the ALAWS to eliminate anti-government dissidents and achieve global security. For Mr. Bushido, his only goal is to the use this mobile suit to defeat the Gundams - specifically the 00 Gundam and its pilot.
