With the Beast Wars escalating to the point of possible consequences to the time stream itself, the alien entities responsible for the mysterious structures and seeding of raw energon across the planet - the Vok - decided to intervene. Fusing the bodies of two previously captured Maximals, the Vok created their ultimate emissary, Tigerhawk, to prevent any further escalation of the conflict.
Taking characteristics from his two host bodies, Tigerhawk's alt mode is that of a winged tiger armed with twin chain guns, able to move at the speeds of a falcon, and strike with the ferocity of a tiger. However, his true power lies in his divine control over the elements, granted by the Vok. With these powers, he can conjure up cyclones and thunder in an instant, and even control the earth to bury his enemies alive.
While under the control of the Vok, Tigerhawk is driven by a single objective of eliminating anyone that poses a threat to the time stream and those who would obstruct him in his mission - both Predacon and Maximal alike. However, with the Vok influence removed, Tigerhawk is filled with the memories of two Maximals who had come to see Earth as their true home. It should be no surprise that Tigerhawk himself has come to share in these feelings and, with his almost God-like powers, will do what is neccessary to protect his home.
