Anyone that has seen the Rurouni Kenshin : Tsuioku Hen (Reminiscence) OVA, will know how well orchestrated the music was; perfectly suiting the seriousness of the 4-part series. You really need to watch the OVA to understand the context of the music, like Alone Again, which was played during Kenshin and Hiko's argument about trying to help others during such dark times, or In Memories "A Boy Meets the Man" that plays during the opening scene where everybody but Kenshin is massacred, only to have Seijuro Hiko come in time to kill the attackers.
Taku Iwasaki did a really great job with these particular tracks. I don't really listen to this type of music that much, but after watching the OVA, and listening to this CD, I'm starting to take a liking to it. In short, if you've seen the Rurouni Kenshin OVA:
By this CD. Now.
